music career
Ms. Silva began her musical apprenticeship at the age of 6 in a German school for boys in Mexico City.
At the age of 9, he entered the José Guadalupe Velázquez Conservatory of Music in Querétaro and at 13 the School of Fine Arts of the UAQ (Autonomous University of Querétaro).
He studied the Baccalaureate in Music and the Licentiate in Gregorian Chant at the Superior School of Sacred Music of the Diocese of León, Guanajuato, under the direction of the Presbyter and Doctor in the matter Don Silvino Robles Gutiérrez Velazco.
Later, he studied a Bachelor of Singing at the "Ollín Yoliztli" School (life and movement) in Mexico City, with the teacher and first figure of opera Irma González and a Bachelor of Music Education at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UAQ.
He graduated in choral conducting from the National Council for Culture and the Arts. In 2002 he traveled to the City of Milan, Italy, where he studied specialization in Baroque and Renaissance singing, with the teacher Claudine Anserment (awarded as the best singer of early music worldwide in 2002) and lyrical singing with the soprano Cecilia Albanese.
She worked for 16 years as a singing teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UAQ, also collaborating as a voice teacher in the theater area.
He taught for 3 years at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. He founded and directed the UAQ choir, working hand in hand with Maestro Aurelio Olivera and Maestro Jesús Almanza. He founded and directed the vocal ensembles 'Antigua' and 'Queregua' and the Sierra Gorda Chamber Choir in Jalpan de Serra.
He has conducted choral works such as "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff, Beethoven's Ninth Choral Symphony, "Vision of the Vanquished" by Manuel Enríquez, opera choirs such as Traviata and La Bohéme, Gloria by Vivaldi and countless works for chamber choir and vocal ensemble.
As a soloist, he has sung cantatas 51 and 202 by Johann Sebastian Bach for solo soprano and orchestra (baroque), Mozart's Requiem, Mozart's Coronation Mass, Vivaldi's Gloria, Händel's Messiah and the premiere in Mexico of the cantata “Delizie Terrene ” by G. Batista Brevi.
He has given innumerable recitals and concerts singing Mexican music, lieder, opera, Spanish, English and musical music.
It should be noted that he is a member of the Ricardo Palmerín Association, which is dedicated to supporting and promoting Yucatecan music.
She is currently the director of “Colibrí” Vocal Ensemble, where she also participated as a soprano.
